Computation and AlgorithmsStudents will be learning the basics of programming and control, utilising sets of instructions to complete a given task using a variety on online learning tools and software. From this students will learn to plan how a program will run, using a variety of algorithm techniques. This will inform the Scratch mini unit where they will consolidate their previous learning to produce a product following a set brief.
In addition to the main learning aims, students will also be baseline tested to gauge prior knowledge, as well as being introduced to the Wildern ICT system, giving them a basic understanding that they can transfer to all areas of the curriculum. As with all year groups, students will be given intensive e-safety training.
